Militarism
Militarism. What does it mean to you? What actions can you take to confront militarism?
Join us in a seminar where we explore the roots, early and current history of militarism, and the major components of the military industrial complex.
The seminar will allow all of us to learn from and teach each other about this perplexing issue. We will discuss the meanings of circulating power elites, empires, gender, and racial issues. Subjects relating to globalization, economics, politics and environmental impact will also be covered.
In the last week we will seek root solutions of militarism and possible actions.

Four Engagements
on the Way to Global Justice
How can we more effectively go about working for justice, both locally and on a vast scale? The Pacific Center for Global Justice is offering this four-month series as a way to provide a grounded and well-informed foundation for social justice work.
We will engage this important topic as community of learning, drawing from the insights and sharing of both facilitators and participants alike. The first three sessions will each focus on an element of the Pacific Center’s approach (contemplation, analysis, and action), with the final session seeking to integrate all elements.
